MILBY Graduating Class of 1960
This Website is Maintained by Your Reunion Committee and is Dedicated
to Both Semester's of
Graduating Classes of 1960
Are you ready for the 2010 Milby Class of 1960 Reunion?
CHARLES H. MILBY SENIOR HIGH SCHOOL opened in 1926, making Milby the oldest school in the HISD system! It is also the largest school in the HISD system.
The MILBY CLASS OF 1960 was the first Milby graduating class to have its own website. This site was started in 1999 and has been diligently maintained by your reunion committee.
Since 1985 we have kept an electronic data base of our classmates in the
MILBY CLASS OF 1960.
No other Milby graduating class can claim that accomplishment.
The software format of this database has changed over the years but we have kept as accurate records as possible of our classmates. That is no small accomplishment considering the constant state of flux due to often changing addresses, home phones and email addresses. Alumni move away from and sometimes back into our geographical area. Please try to remember to notify us of an such changes, preferably beforehand but after the move also works.
Our list of alumni is broken down into three categories.
As of February 1, 2010,
of the approximate 530 alumni, we have:
404 KNOWN CONTACTS
for Classmates:
however there are,
58 MISSING or LOST Classmates and
68 DECEASED Classmates!
The numbers on this list are constantly changing, with more classmates slipping into the Missing or the Deceased Classmates column.

The Reunion Committee
Mission Statement
In 1998 we entered cyberspace, developing this web site. Our goal for this web site is to enable those of us remaining to establish and maintain a dialogue and to foster new contacts with missing alumni.
Including the 1980 reunion , your REUNION COMMITTEE has successfully produced six reunions since our 1960 graduation. We remain dedicated to keeping this tradition alive with our next efforts on April 16, 17 and 18, 2010.
We have tried to give you plenty of time to clear your party calendar for 2010. This will hopefully be the largest and best reunion party yet.
If you are connected to the World Wide Web, either through your office, your home or indirectly through relatives or friends, we encourage your immediate reply to us.
Please read the different pages of attached lists. Then E-MAIL US AT OUR WEB SITE with your current contact as well as your comments and suggestions.
This web site is an ongoing project and we encourage your participation. As we get updates and things change we will periodically revise the enclosed data.
Please be advised that we will only use your information to increase the class participation in future reunion activities. If you do not want us to include your name in any future intra-class mailings just mark your contact sheet as "Do Not Give Out This Contact" and we will honor your wishes. If you do not wish to participate in any future mailings, discussions or party, just mark your contact sheet "Leave Me Alone" and we will make a note of your wishes for our files.
Over the years this committee has devoted hundreds of hours and spent scores of our own dollars to maintain this database. We very much care about you and want to know how you are and what is happening in your life. We have found many of our "lost" alumni with this web site. If you have lost contact with us, by accident or by design, we hope you will take a few moments to, at least let us know you are alive, and hopefully, well. There are many more people from our class that want to hear from you than you may imagine. Whatever your feelings about your fellow alumni, we want and need to hear from you.
